Also Known as Private duty Skilled nursing, you receive one-on-one skilled nursing care from our state-licensed and well-trained Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in the comfort of your home or place of residence, under the direction and instruction of your primary physician or specialist. Certified Nurse Assistants (CNAs) may also be assigned to work with you under the supervision of a registered nurse. Nurses and CNAs provide you with continuous care in shifts lasting from eight (8) hours to twenty-four (24) hours per day. This service caters to patients needing care that may only be provided by skilled nurses that have active and current state nurse’s licenses and are highly trained and skilled to deliver the care you need at home. Some of the highly skilled care delivered at home, in addition to the usual nursing care of medication management, assessment and coordination of patient’s care, include but not limited to:
- Tracheotomy and tracheostomy care.
- Operation of patient specific medical equipment such as ventilators, cough Assist Machines, Chest Physiotherapy (CPT), Humidification Chambers, Suction equipment, Nebulization equipment, Oxygen equipment, etc.
- Specialized feedings and feeding equipment maintenance.
- Specialized mobility and repositioning equipment.
